How to plan your vacation
Sunday, October 5th, 2008September is the month when the Travel industry shows off their magazines with sun, sand and smiles. You begin to dream about where to go but, where do you start?

The first step is to make a list of all your needs and what you’re looking for. Will you be travelling alone, with friends or with children maybe? You want to go on vacation to discover culture, to relax or even to be sporty … what are your priorities?

Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas are two very safe and fun destinations. The weather is warm and you can enjoy the sun everyday from November until June. We have perfect hotels for all ages, some that are adults only, and some more family oriented. Mexico is the perfect destination with so many possible activities, rich in culture and mystery. Once you come here, you just want to keep coming back! To be continued…
Our Guides at School
Monday, September 29th, 2008This is the story of 3 guides who will explain what they have learned and why their training is so important.
Canopy / Outdoor Adventure

“Safety is a top priority for our Canopy and Outdoor Adventure tours. This is why we do a 30-day special training course with safety specialists. These classes cover equipment, ascension, descension, first aid, PADI emergency first Responder course, Rescue and lots of practical training. We have to make you feel totally safe under our watch and enjoy a 1000ft zip line!”
- Omar Amezcua
Las Caletas / Rhythms of the Night
“To work as a Cruise Director, I had to take classes about Marine life in the Bay of Banderas with Dr. Jose Cifuentes, one of Mexico’s leading biologists. We also receive lessons from a private organisation about customer service since our entire Bar and Restaurant staff needs to have the Professional Server Certification. All this to make sure you enjoy a top quality service during your evening at Las Caletas”
- Richard Armas
Sierra Madre / Desert Safari

“For me, the Guide training we received on the tour made me learn so much! We had classes about Mexican history, culture and legends as well as lessons about Puerto Vallarta’s Flora and Fauna. It’s a real pleasure to share all this knowledge with the guests that visit us!” - Salvador Lorenzana
And that’s not all! Our 700 employees receive special environment training about recycling!
Continually Raising the Bar
Monday, March 10th, 2008Vallarta Adventures´ continuing efforts to keep Puerto Vallarta the cleanest city in Mexico has led us to stop using styrofoam products for anti-littering purposes. As of now we officially use melamine plates and hard plastic (easily recycled) cups only. We find that people see the nicer more durable material and are more hesitant to simply throw it on the ground meaning a higher recycled percentage of material. This is the latest part in a line of things we have done to set the example for other companies in hopes of bettering this city we love and keeping it as beautiful as ever for generations to come. We have seen an 85% decrease in trash in the last 3 months do to recycling efforts and are composting and giving biowaste to a local farmer as food for his pigs. These things are not hard to do and if a company as large as ours can implement these strategies, who can´t?
Know Before You Go!
Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008We often have first time travelers here in Puerto Vallarta, that have never even been outside of their home country before, know very little about mexico and what to expect in Vallarta. Puerto Vallarta, Mexico is a perfect place to first get your travel feet wet because it is extremely safe and very developed, all the while still maintaining the small town appeal and feel.
Here we have compiled a list of valuable tourist information relevant to travelers in Puerto Vallarta. Vallarta Adventures borrowed some tips we found on the web, and added a few of our own. So enjoy, and if you have any further questions feel free to email us at: info@vallarta-adventures.com.
Celebrities in Vallarta.
Friday, January 11th, 2008Vallarta Adventures over the years has seen several movies, television shows, magazine and newspaper articles focused on the company and we are no strangers to the bright lights of fame. 2008 will no doubt bring many celebrities to Puerto Vallarta and many go on their own adventures with VA and as long as we are allowed to, this blog will display photos and video of them as they come. So keep up with the Vallarta gossip here on the Vallarta Adventures Blog. (more…)

!2008!
Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008Say adios to 2007 and make 2008 even better than expected. Take the time to look back once more on the things you did in the past year, take a deep breath, and then move on. So what will 2008 bring?
Why we do what we do?
Wednesday, December 26th, 2007With over 600 employees from nearly 20 different countries, Vallarta Adventures has become one massive, extremely dynamic, family of nature lovers. Everyone in the company from a cook at Las Caletas to founder Ricardo Farkas, all has the same sentiments towards Puerto Vallarta. We love it here, and we want to share the amazing things we see every day with the rest of the world, all the while helping to ensure that these great natural wonders will stay the way they are today for years to come. We now offer over 20 different adventure tours in the ocean, in the air or on land and we even have some tours that are in between the three! We offer anything from jungle exploration tours to an adventure swim with wild dolphins safely, not only for our clients but for nature and the animals as well. We do all of this for one reason.
What is it Really Like?
Wednesday, December 26th, 2007Very often we recieve calls and emails from people who see the videos on our website and think that the people are actors and are paid to look like they are having an amazing time, and I am writing now to set the record straight. THEY ARE REAL! Don´t take it from me though.
I´ve come across some more (unedited) videos from actual tours with actual people that are in no way promotional so you can watch and see exactly what to expect on the tours. Some may be a little out of date and since we are an ever changing company some small details may be different but these are still great examples of what the tours entail. (more…)
Whale Watching In The Bay!
Wednesday, December 26th, 2007Here in Puerto Vallarta we are fortunate enough to have one of the most amazing whale watching experiences on earth for one reason; the Banderas Bay. The bay, which happens to be one of the largest in the world at 45km across, creates a wonderful atmosphere for the whales during their mating season, which is the entire time they are in Vallarta.
