Pacific Bottlenose Dolphins are warm blooded, air-breathing mammals that inhabit temperate and tropical waters throughout the world.
They belong to the group of toothed whales whose scientific name is odontocetes. Pacific bottlenose dolphins can grow to be up to 10 feet long and weigh from 300-650 pounds.
They have a sleek, streamlined body with forelimbs, called pectoral flippers, that they use to steer, and flukes (lobes of the tail) that they use to propel themselves forward.
In general, the color of Pacific Bottlenose Dolphins is a nondescript gray on the back fading to white on the belly and lower jaw.
This coloration, a type of camouflage known as countershading, helps conceal a dolphin from predators and prey. |

I just wanted to email and let you know about the wonderful time my wife and I had at the Dolphin Trainer for a Day last week. We celebrated our honeymoon with a cruise to the Mexican Riviera and booked your excursion through our cruise line. We both were very excited to participate in the dolphin experience and your facility and crew, especially our guide/hostess, went above and beyond. She went out of her way to take many "super cool" photographs on our digital camera for us that we would not have been able to take being in the water so much, and for that we are very grateful. We definitely feel that we received our moneys worth plus much, much more. I can not put into words how great our experience was, we will be highly recommending your facility to friends and family when they vacation in Puerto Vallarta.

My family and I would like to tell you how much we enjoyed our tours. They were truly first rate, and the staff very friendly. Our first tour was the Trainer for a Day. It was an incredible experience we will never forget. Our guide took care of us the whole day. We felt that we received extra time to get to know the dolphins. We even got to meet the sea lions which was an added plus. These creatures are so fascinating and loving. We could not have asked for such an awe inspiring time.

My family visited the Dolphin Adventure Center in Nuevo Vallarta with a group of 10 people and had the most wonderful time swimming with the dolphins. We enjoyed ourselves so much we returned with the rest of the family later in the week so they could enjoy what we experienced. The Trainer for a Day on Friday was so wonderful and fun. All in all we all had a wonderful experience and I will definitely return next summer to swim again.

I was recently a "Dolphin Trainer For The Day" and just wanted to give you a big THANK YOU. I had the most magical and memorable day spending time at both centres with Angela showing us around (who was great), the dolphins were everything I expected and 100% more, we also had the opportunity to swim with the sea lions who I thought were just like big soppy dogs, I had never really thought much about sealions before but now I love them as much as the dolphins they were great. If ever I am fortunate enough to come back to Mexico I will definately be visiting the dolphin centre again, I have also highly recommend Vallarta Adventures in a review I have submitted to www.tripadvisor.co.uk. I am sure you all realise how lucky you are working at such a fantastic place with such wonderful creatures but if any of you ever want to trade places, I'll be on the next plane. Thank you again!

Earlier in the year I stayed in Puerto Vallarta for two weeks. I had a chance to participate in the Dolphin Trainer for a Day program. It was endlessly amazing. The dolphins are such wonderful creatures. My thanks to Tonalli, Linco, Nemo, Ygala, Yashui and the rest of the dolphins for letting me spend time with them. I would also like to thank David Torta and Nicole for making it an unforgetible experience. I came away with a larger appreciation for the dolphins and their wellbeing. I have decided to go towards becoming either a marine biologist or a dolphin trainer or possibly both. I am still only in the 9th grade but I doubt that I will change my mind about what career I want to pursue.... I am only a 15 year old girl but I really want to look into a great career. I will never be stuck behind a desk or doing something that I don't enjoy. Again, I thank everyone that had a part in my day one of the best in my life, even the cooks that prepared my burger for lunch.

I just want to say thank you very much for our daughters' experience with the dolphins. It was absolutely fantastic! An experience they will never forget, and one that will be put in the top 10 of the most wonderful things they were able to do in their lifetime. My family and I had the wonderful opportunity of visiting Dolphin Adventures for a number of swims and encounters. My son Jeremy (age 11) has a number of psychiatric (mild autism and bi-polar) as well as learning disabilities. Macy Jozsef organized a healing trip just for him to help him with his issues. The trip was fantastic. Jeremy loved being with, swimming, feeding, petting the dolphins. He loved Mexico as well. He did swims with Ricardo, Andy, and another guy as well as three encounters with Ricardo. All of you worked with him so well and were very kind to him especially Ricardo. I want to tell you how much this therapy has helped Jeremy. He has improved in some big ways and in many, many little ways....in the everyday things that he does. This therapy has helped center and ground him as well as slow down his mind. (Bi-polar people have minds that think too fast and this makes life very difficult for them...) Muchisimas gracias por todo y hasta el proximo verano.

My name is Sharon, I was on holiday in Puerto Vallarta over Christmas and New Year, I had a trip to swim with the dolphins which I would like to say was the most amazing experience of my life, I have for such a long time wanted to do this so jumped at the chance of doing it whilst in Mexico. It's been a while since we were there, but I want to let you know that we really enjoyed the Swim with Dolphins program. I was there with my two adult daughters, and we had a really great time. We appreciated that we had a lot of time with the dolphins, just to swim and admire them. I also appreciated that your staff was very cooperative and took pictures for us. I have been to Discovery Cove in Orlando, and your program was much, much better. In fact, I would say that the Swim with Dolphins was the highlight of our trip to Puerto Vallarta.

Hello, my name is Dennis Hill. My daughter, Briana, was a trainer for a day, this last year on Nov 27. She had the greatest time you could imagine. It has been all she talks about to her friends and family since coming home. We have shown her tape of the experience to everyone. All her friends and cousins are so envious, they tell her how lucky she is. I want to take this opportunity to express how grateful we are for your program. I also want to tell you how really great all your staff was that worked with her that day. They took their time and showed her so many nice things and were so friendly.
