Your Outdoor Adventure begins with an exhilarating speed boat ride that takes you to Boca de Tomatlan, a secluded beach at the edge of the jungle on the southern shores of Puerto Vallarta's Banderas Bay, aboard our APEX inflatable boats.

These incredibly versatile and extremely fast inflatable speed boats are used on Vallarta Adventures' Whale Photo Safari tour and The Outdoor Adventure. Each is powered by two 200 horse power Mercury Engines and have a sophisticated “planing” system which drops the nose of the boat at speeds over 20 mph to ensure a safe and comfortable ride.
With a top speed of 50 mph, these boats are the fastest way to get around the Bay. The inflatable skirt acts as a shock absorber across the water which, along with cushioned seats, ensure that you enjoy a smooth ride. Each Apex Inflatable can hold up to 32 people and has a covered roof to shelter you from the sun. The unique design means that these are the only speedboats around that can land at beaches without having to use tenders.
From here, an exciting off-road expedition aboard our 4x4 Unimogs will take you 2000 ft above sea level to our Outdoor Adventure base camp in the heart of the Sierra Madre Mountains. These bright yellow trucks are the ultimate 'go-anywhere' four-wheel-drive vehicles and an emblem of the adventurous spirit of our company.

These bright yellow trucks are the ultimate 'go-anywhere' four-wheel-drive vehicles and an emblem of the adventurous spirit of our company. Originally built in Germany under NATO contract for military use, they are the favored means of transportation for many of the world's military forces.
We customized our fleet of 20 rough and rugged Unimogs to meet Vallarta Adventure's specific needs and safety standards. The chassis have been raised to 2 1/2 feet from the ground to facilitate the mountainous terrain of the Sierra Madre, extra wide tires have been mounted to increase stability, and we added cushions and seat belts to the troop benches to provide a comfortable ride without the rough & tumble of many other 4WDs. | |
