PADI certified dive masters can continue their education with the PADI Emergency First Response Instructor course, and other instructor-level programs.

PADI Dive Master Course
This 7-9 day program is the first step towards your dive career and becoming a PADI professional. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you'll expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills as you take the first step in your professional scuba diving career. PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities by training you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers. Required course materials, theory, and practices (pool and ocean) are included.

PADI Instructor Development Course
The PADI Instructor Development Course provides a professional learning experience in which you will learn how to teach diving, utilizing the PADI system of diver education. When you complete the PADI IDC, you will have been trained and prepared to attend a PADI Instructor Examination (IE), the final step towards your PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor certification.
