Position: Scuba Dive Master
Job Type: Full Time

Job Description:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Dive master positions on our boats, concessions at a number of hotels around Vallarta teaching classroom sessions, pool training and open water diving lessons, and promoting/selling tours.

Job Requirements:
Must be a PADI pro Dive Master or above. 100% English essential. Spanish, French and Dutch are also useful. Sales experience is also helpful as wages will be influenced by your own sales. Age 21 - 35.

Salary:
Wages are mainly commission based, but average approx $25 to $40 USD per day
Position: Scuba Instructor

Job Description:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Conducting classes and teaching certification levels from Discover Scuba through Dive Master.

Job Requirements:
Must be a PADI instructor level or above. 100% English and Spanish are essential French and Dutch are also useful. Age 25 - 35. We work with all the major cruise liners so a very high standard of presentation and professionalism is expected.

Salary:

Position: Whale Watching Guide
Job Type: Full Time
Job Area: Pangas
Start Date: Start Immediately - All applicants MUST have experience. These positions are not for volunteers, nor people who are looking to learn how to become a dolphin trainer.

Job Description:
Whale watching guides will be taking out groups of approx 10 guests on our whale watching Pangas (with capitan) for half-day tours in the Bay of Banderas to follow and observe Humpback Whales. Hundreds of whales come to Banderas Bay in the winter months and our whale watching tour is a very popular tour in Vallarta. During each 5 hour tour, guides describe the characteristics and behaviour of the whales. Sometimes we stop to snorkel and our guides lead the snorkeling groups.

Job Requirements:
Outgoing personality and great communication skills. Candidates must speak perfect English and preferably Dutch. Guides must be very presentable and be in good physical condition. A keen interest and knowledge of whales and other cetaceans is very useful.

Position: Canopy Guide
Job Type: Full Time
Job Area: Canopy Reserve
Start Date: Start Immediately

Job Description:
Guides work at our Private Canopy reserve situated approx 1 hour inland from Puerto Vallarta in the forests of the Sierra Madre and receive groups throughout the day. Each team of 5 canopy guides typically takes 3 groups per day through the 2 hours course. Guides provide briefing for guests, secure guests into their equipment (mountaineering gear) and accompany group through the treetop tour. The Canopy Tour has very high safety standards and so guides need to pay extreme attention to safety details as well as keeping guests entertained.

Job Requirements:
Outgoing personality and great communication skills. Guides must be physically fit, have great coordination, and be able to work outside in warm tropical weather. Guides must speak perfect English, be very presentable, and have an interest in local wildlife and flora - full training is given. Experience in rock climbing and rappel is useful.

Position: Cruise Director/MC

Job Area: Aboard Catamarans

Job Description:
Each of our boat trips takes groups of up to 130 people on some of the most wonderful and fun boat tours found anywhere in the world. Our highly professional and great fun crews look after these guests from the moment they check in at our offices in both Puerto Vallarta and Nuevo Vallarta. Boat crew serve drinks and food aboard, while the Cruise Director (MC) keeps everyone entertained through a mixture of commentary about the local area and participating with the rest of the crew in our onboard show. This job also involves water sport activities such as kayaking and snorkeling.

Job Requirements:
Cruise Directors must be natural entertainers who love to be in front of and in control of the large tour groups on Vallarta Adventure's Las Caletas and Marietas tours. Candidates must be fluent in both English and Spanish and be very articulate as they will be on the microphone throughout the day both entertaining guests and explaining some of the natural wonders of Puerto Vallarta. You should also be physically fit, very presentable, and be interested in water sports as guides will also lead snorkeling tours.

Basic salary of $40 per tour plus tips (approx $15 per day) Guides generally work 6 tours per week (up to 8 in high season.)
Position: Expedition Guide
Job Type: Full Time
Job Area: Adventure Center
Start Date: Start Immediately - minimum commitment of 6 months

Job Description:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Guiding groups of 12 tourists at a time on a day adventure in our Mercedes Benz Unimogs. (Guides do not drive.) Guides provide commentary about local area and lead groups on a Jungle Hike to find different plants and wildlife. (Yep, just like on Animal Planet!) Most tours are led in English but some are in French, Spanish and Dutch.

Job Qualifications:
Outgoing personality and great communication skills. Candidates personally lead groups on this eco-adventure and so must speak perfect English, be very presentable, and be in good physical condition. A knowledge of Mexican history and culture and an interest in local wildlife and flora is essential - but full training is given.
