Rescue, Rehabilitation and Release

Rescuer on raft by whale tail during disentanglement at sea
Written by Vallarta Adventures

Established in 1994

Our commitment to animal welfare goes beyond our facility. We take pride in our efforts to protect and conserve the wildlife in our oceans and beyond.

Our team works closely with local governments in Jalisco, Nayarit, and Baja California Sur, as well as non-profit organizations, to rescue animals that have been injured, orphaned, or in need of medical attention. Sometimes this help may be a small intervention, while other times it may require experts to provide the necessary medical attention, rehabilitation, and care needed for the animals to fully recover. Once the animals are healthy and ready, we release them back into their natural habitats.

Turtle rescue

To support our team's efforts, we provide them with boats, medical equipment, and human resources. Vallarta Adventures also contributes to these rescues by providing loans and contributions of maritime vehicles, as well as donating medical and rescue equipment. However, our specialized human team is essential in carrying out this important work.
